CEREMONIAL DEISM
The State Religion of the USA
Ceremonial Deism is the official religion of the United States of America.  The federal courts have so ruled and the Supreme Court has allowed such rulings to stand.  In fact, several Supreme Court justices have explicitly committed themselves to the precepts of Ceremonial Deism.  In addition, virtually all US Senators and Congressmen are obedient to the Pope of Ceremonial Deism.

But this is nothing to worry about.  State-church separation is alive and well.  This is because Ceremonial Deism is not religion.  That's because it's only "ceremonial."  It's only a formality.  In fact, it's so meaningless that in the 1950's the US national motto was changed to "In God We Trust" and "under God" was inserted into the Pledge of Allegiance, just to protect them from contamination by Christianity or other religions.  This is consistent with the central doctrine of Ceremonial Deism that the more often people say "God" in a ceremonial way, the less they will think of "God" in any other way.
